Dear Internationals,

join us on our next hiking trip to the spectacular Leutaschklamm near Mittenwald — one of the most beautiful gorges in the region! 🌄

On Sunday morning, we’ll take the train at Munich central station (platform 31) to Mittenwald. From there, we’ll start our hike towards the Leutaschklamm, where well-maintained paths lead us through a dramatic gorge with turquoise water, waterfalls, and impressive rock formations.

⚠️ Important: Parts of the trail run along bridges and walkways above the gorge, so you should not be afraid of heights. That said, the entire path is very well secured and maintained, and there are no technical difficulties.
- The pure hiking time is about 3 hours, but with a group we plan around 5 hours total walking time
- The hike is approximately 10.8 km long with a vertical elevation gain of around 240 meters
- There will be a mountain shelter at the Ederkanzel where you can buy food. This mountain shelter only takes cash, so please remember to bring cash!
- This hike is easy overall, but you should still be comfortable walking for several hours
- We will be back in Munich at around 18:00–19:00

🎒 WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
- Hiking boots (or shoes with equally good profile)
- If it's rainy: a waterproof jacket (the weather can change very fast in the mountains)
- If it's sunny: sunscreen / a hat / sunglasses
- At least 2 litres of water and snacks
- Cash (required at the mountain shelter)
