Dear internationals, 🥾🏔️
Ready for an unforgettable adventure in the Alps? Looking for a chance to escape the city, meet new people, and experience nature at its finest? Then join us for an amazing hiking weekend in the Karwendel Mountains!
From June 19th to June 21st, we'll spend three days exploring the breathtaking Karwendel region, the largest nature reserve in the Eastern Alps, located on the border between Austria and Bavaria. Together, we'll hike through spectacular mountain landscapes, enjoy fresh alpine air, and create unforgettable memories with fellow international students.
Along the way, you'll discover the unique wildlife of the Alps, including species such as ibex, mountain goats, and even golden eagles. We'll visit the source of the Isar River, spend the nights in cozy mountain huts surrounded by stunning scenery, and enjoy delicious Tyrolean food after rewarding days on the trail.
🎒 WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Everybody who got a spot will get a detailed packing list for the trip (don’t worry, the differences to a normal hiking-day-trip are not too big).

⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES
- The trails we’ll take are not dangerous, but we highly recommend you to wear hiking boots or at least trainers with a good tread.
- Even though the trails are not difficult, you should have some hiking experience and you should be at least an average sportive person.
- Everybody who got a spot will get a detailed packing list for the trip (don’t worry, the differences to a normal hiking-day-trip are not too big).
- The price includes the public transport in Austria and the accommodation in the mountain shelter. From experience, you’ll need about 100€ in total for food and drinks in the mountain shelters (card payment is not always possible).
- Since we are leaving Germany and there might be passport controls, you have to bring your valid ID card or passport (with Schengen visa)!
We can't wait to explore the Alps with you and share this special weekend together! 🌲⛰️✨
With lots of love,
