Dear internationals,

Join us for a full-day hike to the beautiful Heimgarten with incredible panoramic views over Walchensee, the Bavarian Prealps, and the surrounding mountain ranges.

🤔 WHAT DOES THE EVENT LOOK LIKE?
- We will meet at 8:10 am at Munich Central Station to take the train to Ohlstadt (train to Innsbruck, Platform 27). From there, we will start our hike to Heimgarten.
- The hike is approximately 11.6 km long with around 1,020 metres of elevation gain.
- Total walking time is approximately 7 hours.
- There will be a mountain hut where food and drinks can be purchased. The hut accepts cash only.
- Please note that this is not an easy beginner hike.
- Participants should be comfortable spending a full day hiking in the mountains.
- The hike can be physically demanding and requires a reasonable level of fitness.
- We expect to be back in Munich at around 7:30 pm.

🎒 WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
- Hiking boots (or shoes with equally good profile)
- Wind protection and also warmer clothes as on the summit it can get very chilly!
- If it's rainy: a waterproof jacket (remember that the weather can change very fast in the mountains)
- If it's sunny: sunscreen/a hat/sunglasses
- 2 liters of water and food/snacks for the day, it is not guaranteed that the mountain shelter will be open, so remember to bring food for the day!
