Herrenhäuser Gärten Illumination
Did you ever want to see British King George‘s I favourite gardens, the Herrenhäuser Gärten, illuminated at night? Then come and join us going for a walk in "Großer Garten".
Program: We meet at 20:00 on Friday in front of the main entrance of "Großer Garten". We‘ll go for a walk, watch the sunset at ~21:00 and listen to Water Music (composed by Georg Friedrich Händel) from 22:00 to 23:00. It might be the most cultural event of the semester 🔥
🗓️ When: Friday (May 8th) at 20:00.
📍Where: Herrenhäuser Straße 4, 30419 Hannover
Price: 2€ for ESN card holders, 3€ otherwise.

Fun fact: Händel worked at the court of Hannover until Prince George of Hannover inherited the British Throne from Queen Anne. To make himself (a German) more favourable for the English, he threw a party with fireworks on the Themse where the king and Händel were in boats, Händel directing the orchestra playing his new "Water Music" (because the orchestra was in a boat).
