The small, tranquil Lüneburg is quite old, over 1,000 years to be exact. The salt once made the city rich and exactly this wealth can still be seen in the many beautiful patrician houses. In addition to the many great gabled houses around the Sande and the market, there are especially in the western old town just picturesque houses and alleys through which you can stroll and stroll only too happy.
