Guided Semperoper tour

The Dresden Semperoper is the most famous opera house in Germany. Built between 1838 and 1841 by Gottfried Semper, it was closed in August 1944 and destroyed six months later by the Allied air raid. The ceremonial reopening took place on February 13, 1985, exactly 40 years after the destruction. The program was "Der Freischütz" by Carl Maria von Weber - the opera was written in Dresden.
During a guided tour you will experience the eventful history and the unique architecture and acoustics of this opera house up close.
