The “Cherry Orchard” of the municipality of Nehren, located in the Tübingen district, spans an impressive 105 hectares of traditional orchards 🍒. Its valleys and ridges shape the surrounding landscape, and the cherry trees on the meadows provide a haven for birds 🐦 and insects 🐝. In spring, the orchard transforms into a breathtaking bloom of colors—a natural spectacle that once inspired the local schoolteacher and dialect poet Karl Hötzer (1892-1969) to pen his famous poem “Em Kijischefeld” in the 1920s.
