Dear internationals,
Get ready for an unforgettable weekend in one of Europe’s most charming border cities: Strasbourg! 🇫🇷 Known for its romantic canals, fairy-tale architecture, and blend of French and German culture, this trip will give you a chance to discover both the old-world beauty and modern energy of Alsace. Not to forget Strasbourg's role in the European Union! As a bonus, you will also be able to spend one whole day in one of the best parks in Europe: Europa Park! 🎢 If you are a real culture seeker, you can also take a day trip to Colmar instead, one of the most enchanting towns in France, often called a real-life fairy tale!
🤔 WHAT DOES THE TRIP LOOK LIKE?
Among other sights, we'll explore Strasbourg's stunning old town, the scenic Petite France district, and visit the impressive European Parliament. 🇪🇺 You’ll also get a feel for local life while relaxing in Orangerie Park, enjoying typical Alsatian meals, and exploring on your own.
For those seeking adventure, we’re offering an optional full-day trip to Europa Park, one of Europe’s most epic amusement parks, filled with rollercoasters and themed worlds (not included in the base price)! 🎡 For culture addicts, you can opt instead for a day trip to the lovely town of Colmar!
Expect a fun mix of cultural visits, nightlife (think pub crawl & clubbing 🪩), and free time to chill, wander, or join group activities like a countryside bike ride or a museum visit.
🎫 WHICH TICKET DO I NEED FOR TRANSPORT?
We will go to Strasbourg using the Deutschlandticket. If you have one, the trip is almost free: you will just need to buy the ticket to cross the French border (€3.80). This trip lasts ~8h and includes 3 commutes, but delays may extend the duration. If you prefer a more comfortable way, direct ICE or Flixbus also exist which you can take at your own costs.
🎟️ HOW DO I REGISTER?
Registration works on a first come first served basis and will open on Wednesday, April 23rd at 6 pm.
Refunds are only possible if there are people in the waiting list. If the waiting list is empty, you can still transfer your spot to a person of your choice free of charge.
We can't wait to explore Strasbourg and make incredible memories with you!
With lots of love,
Your MESA Team!
