Dear mountain-lovers and hiking cracks!

On Sunday morning, we‘ll take the train (RB6) at Munich central station (platform 27) to Eschenlohe. Here we'll start our hike to the Osterfeuerkopf (1336 h.m.) a mountain ridge with beautiful views towards the alps.
The hike starts with walking through scenic countryside including a small part of the Asamklamm for around 1h until we reach the mountain foot. Then we walk around 2h up to reach the peak. After we enjoyed the views, we hike the same route back to the train station, which will take around 2h. In total, we will achieve a distance of 11km and around 700 h.m. in elevation.

Please bring your own food and enough to drink because there will be no shelter to buy food on the mountain. There is a small restaurant down in the village where you might stop after the hike to refuel on beer, coffee, or cake.
The hike is not too difficult, but if you don't like doing sports at all, it may not be the right hike for you!

🎒 WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
- good shoes!!!! (at least appropriate trainers, or better hiking boots)
- a waterproof jacket (even if the weather forecast is good, the weather can change very fast in the mountains)
- sun cream
- a hat (if you have and need one)
- a small backpack
- 2 liters of water or other non-alcoholic drinks and snacks for a short food break
- a good mood and love for nature (please don't leave your trash in the mountains, carry it down by yourself)

🤔WHEN DO WE RETURN?
We plan to take the train back to Munich at 5pm, so you will be back in Munich at 6pm.
