Welcome Week Event - Volunteer in Nature's Park
One of the focuses of ESN is having a social impact, both on a local and on a global scale. Part of this impact needs to be done through the environment, now more than ever ⌛ If you are interested in taking care of our planet, join this event! 🌎
In the project "Biotoppflege und -entwicklung Deponie Georgswerder", knowledge gained from ecology and landscape conservation is used to promote biodiversity on the approximately 1.6 hectare project area through targeted care and development. Especially in the vegetation season from spring to autumn, a lot of work needs to be done here which the small organization can hardly manage on its own. So they are always grateful for external help 🍂
One of the main focuses of the work is the depletion of the soil by removing the alfalfa from the surrounding sown areas. This bins nitrogen from the air and threatens to overgrow the rare habitat „Trocken-/Magerrasen“ which is home to many heat-loving species. A great project for everyone who wants to spend a day in nature and wants to learn something about topics like biodiversity, biotopes and the work of the Neuntöter e.V. 🌱
Important information: The tasks may vary slightly depending on the weather conditions. Participation is only possible with a negative Corona rapid test (self-test or Bürgertest).
