Mudflat Hiking
Hey lovely hikers!
Hamburger like to call themselves Nordlichter – and as a real Nordlicht a visit to the North Sea at low tide should be on your bucket list! Get your raincoat & rubber boots and join us on a guided tour through mud and sand, passing birds, mussels, shells worms and other sea animals who come to daylight only when the sea releases them. You will learn more about the tides, the seabed and the fascinating Wadden Sea during the mudflat hike. Afterwards we´ll have some refreshments to finish off the day before heading back to Hamburg.
Please make sure to bring appropriate clothing – rubber boots or old shoes are essential, we will get very muddy and wet (a raincoat could also be useful). If you don't have rubber boots, you can rent some for a fee of 5€.
