Embark on a picturesque bicycle journey from Freiburg to Basel with ESN! 🚴‍♂️ Pedal through scenic landscapes and charming villages as we make our way towards Basel, the oldest university town in Switzerland. Along the way, we'll pass by Neuenburg am Rhein, a charming border town known for its scenic views and historic architecture. Upon arrival in Basel, immerse yourself in its rich history, from the grand market square with its ornate town hall to the Gothic cathedral. Discover Basel's hidden gem, the Rhine River, where you can relax at buvettes along the banks or enjoy a refreshing swim in its gentle currents. 🏞️ On a hot summer day, there's no better way to cool off than in the Rhine, so bring your swimwear if you'd like to take a dip! 🏊‍♂️

Join us for a scenic bike tour from Freiburg to Basel, covering approximately 70 - 85km. With no breaks we could cover the distance in 3-4h but if we have some more relaxed time add 1 or 2h.🌳🌼

Please note: This tour is planned at a "sporty pace", covering 85km with a avg cycling speed of 18-20 km/h. Participants should be comfortable with longer distances and be prepared for a leisurely journey. 🚵‍♀️

After exploring Basel, we'll enjoy dinner together in Germany before heading back to Freiburg by train. Most students have the opportunity to return free of charge. 🚆
