Have you already been to our neighbouring city in the South, Basel? Basel is just 45 minutes away from Freiburg! If you want to explore this beautiful city with us, join us on Sunday, 20.03.2022! Basel is known for its large number of museums. The river Rhine is also very attractive, especially in good weather. Like many Swiss cities, Basel has a lot of modern architecture. While on the south side of the Rhine you can see the old town, on the north side you will find modern buildings such as the Messplatz.
After your registration we will send you a document with the list of museums including the entrance fees.The exchange rate Euro to the Swiss franc is currently 1:1.

For the lunch we recommend you to bring some sandwiches as we would like to have a picnic at the Rhine if the weather is good.In case of emergency, there is a COOP market at the station which is also open on Sundays.

Recommendation: Switzerland is not an EU country, so there is no Euro roaming. Therefore, if you want to save on mobile phone charges, you should download maps in advance (Google offline maps) to save your mobile data. In the meantime the prices have however become bearable, about 5€ for 50 MB.

Attention:If you are not a student with a vaild 19-Uhr nachweis or Semester-ticket, you have to buy an additional ticket for the area of the RVF. (From 2 persons there are cheap group tickets. Be at the station in advance to find groups.)

The event is wheelchair accessible. (Registration with DB Behindertenservice necessary)

Here the 3G proof applies: Proof of a complete vaccination (14 days), recovery (3 months) or an official Corona test (antigen/PCR) is necessary.
