Excursion: Marburg

Join us on Saturday, the 13th of April, as we visit the town of Marburg.

Nestled in the heart of Hessen, Marburg boasts a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages, evident in its well-preserved architecture and cobbled streets.

The cityscape showcases buildings erected by medieval knights of the teutonic order and statues of internationally well-known Grimm fairytales.

It is also adorned with centuries-old timber-frame houses and has been crowned for almost a millennium by the Marburg Castle on the hill.

Note that lunch arrangements are not included in the itinerary. Participants are free to explore Marburg’s culinary offerings at their leisure during the lunch break.

Departure: 11:19 from platform 15, Frankfurt Central Station. Try to be there 10 to 15min earlier.
