Excursion: Ingelheim and Boppard
Join us this Saturday, the 17th of February for another one of our excursions. We will be heading to the upper middle Rhine for a tour of the charming towns of Ingelheim and Boppard.
.
.
Retrace the steps of the father of Europe, Charlemagne, at his imperial residence in Ingelheim, and on the same day, visit the city of Boppard (originally Baudobriga) founded by the army of Julius Caeser during his campaigns in Gaul.
.
.
Apart from history, what you can expect from the trip is beautiful half-timbered houses, imposing churches and a lot of good wine. The train journey itself is full of scenic views. See why the whole valley is designated as a UNESCO site.
