Excursion: Cochem

For our next day trip on Saturday, the 16th of November, we will be going to the beautiful town of Cochem. The tour leader for this trip will be Khaled.

Located in the Moselle valley, it has enchanting landscapes, stretches of wine yards and the Moselle river running across it. You will also get the chance to explore its traditional old town, see the old town gates, and visit the market square. You will also get to enjoy the stunning views of the town from Pinnerkreuz and stroll along the Moselpromenade. You can also visit the bunker of the German bundesbank.

The main attraction of this trip is of course the Cochem imperial castle. Sitting above 100 m above the moselle river and visible from everywhere in the city makes it a site to behold. Built in the 11th century and restored in a neo-gothic style with renovated interiors which can be visited as guided tours are offered.
