ESN goes Büdchen Tour
Maybe you have already walked past them and wondered what these "kiosks" are and why there are so many of them.
The so-called "kiosks" are actually called "Büdchen" in Düsseldorf and have a long tradition. Their sole purpose is not just to get forgotten groceries when the supermarkets close down.
The little shops invite you to rest a while and, with a beer in your hand, stroll on to the next one. Around here, this beer is called “Wegbier", which is a combination of the words "Weg" (the way) and "Bier" (the beer) and thus describes its function quite accurately.
Together we’ll explore the Bilker district on a Büdchen Tour (aka kiosk crawl).
After we have stopped at a couple of Büdchen and had a refreshing drink or two, we let our evening come to an end at the Rhine or in the Altstadt (old town), depending on the weather and our mood.
If you're down for a walk, discovering a part of Düsseldorf and having a drink or two, join us !
We look forward to seeing many new and old faces !
