ESN goes Gasometer

Join us to our trip to the Gasometer in Oberhausen.
The Gasometer is an old industrial facility that is now used as an unique exhibition venue.
It is one of the most popular landmarks in the metropol region "Rhein-Ruhr" representing both the industrial heritage,
but also the ongoing transformation to a knowledge based economy.

At the Gasometer we will visit the current exhibition, "The fragile Paradies",
showing the beauty of nature and the influence of humans on their environment.
The exhibition takes visitors on a visually stunning journey through the turbulent climate history of our earth
and shows in impressive, award-winning photographs and videos how the flora and fauna changed during the
Anthropocene.

Additionaly on top of the gasometer there is a observation deck available to the public.
From up there you can enjoy a unique panoramic view of the whole region, during clear weather,
extending over 35 kilometres: from the steelworks on the Rhine as far as the stadium of the Schalke football club.
At the venue you have the option to get an Audioguide for additional 3 €.

We are looking forward to seeing you and having a nice day together!
