ESN Taunus Hike - Conquering Altkönig 🏞️
Join us for a hike to the top of Altkönig in the beautiful Taunus! The Taunus is a small mountain range northwest of Frankfurt which offers stunning castles, cute small towns and lovely nature on its vast network of hiking trails! Lets explore it together!
- What: ESN Taunus Hike: Journey to the top of Altkönig 🏔️
- When: May 31st, meeting at 8:50 AM in front of the Darmstadt EAST Train Station ⏰, https://maps.app.goo.gl/7fZnCvCaWegbGQ3E8 
(Option to join at Oberursel Hohemark at 10:45 as well)
Return: Late afternoon, we will take a train from Königstein back to Darmstadt
Cost: Free (with Deutschlandticket) 🎟️
❗Note that we are meeting at Ostbahnhof not Hauptbahnhof this time!

Route Info:
- About 14km
- 500m height difference

What to Bring:

- Bring snacks, as we will eat the snack together once arriving on the top. Also, take plenty of water, and dress in sporty attire with comfortable hiking shoes. 🥾

- Don't forget sunscreen and a hat for sun protection. ☀️🧢

Important Notice:

- If you do not have a Deutschlandticket, please arrange your own travel ticket as ESN will not cover travel expenses. 🚅
- Check the weather on the day of the hike and dress accordingly. Also, the event may be canceled or postponed in case of bad weather, so keep an eye on the forecast. ☔

- This hike is suitable for individuals with good stamina. 💪
