Join us for our Three Castles hiking tour, including the famous Burg Frankenstein! 🥾And yes, you heard right, Frankenstein: the birthplace of Frankenstein‘s monster, the main character of Mary Shelley's book that many people consider to be the first ever science fiction novel! 👹
We will first see Burg Frankenstein, followed by the Burgruine Tannenberg, and finally Schloss Alsbach, before returning to Darmstadt.
We will meet on Sunday 30.03 at 10:00h at Luisenplatz tram station platform 5 and take the number 8 tram to Darmstadt-Eberstadt, and start our hike from Parkplatz Sommergrund.
You can also meet us at Wanderparkplatz Sommergrund at 10:50 if that is more convenient for you, but please let us know if you do! Please be on time!
The hike will take 4 to 6 hours, depending on the weather and the route we decide on. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing for hiking, and bring some water and a packed lunch with you, as we are planning to have a picnic as we walk! 🌮
It is also important to understand that we will be covering a significant distance of more than 13 kilometers, with around 600 meters of elevation gain over the course of the hike. Therefore, we ask you to be sure this is within your capacity.
